Electricians checked against the ECB directory
Every business here was checked against the Electrical Conformance Board (ECB) directory: by name, or, where we started from the directory, by the listing's telephone number matching the business's own. A verified badge means the business is listed with the Electrical Conformance Board of SA, which records a Department of Labour registration number. The ECB's application form requires a certified copy of the Department's certificate, and the ECB also files those registrations for members as a paid service. It is a voluntary body and lost its statutory role in 2012; the Department has published no searchable register since, so many registered electricians will not appear. An owner can supply their number by claiming the listing. Nothing is self-reported.
